No effort is spared to ensure that a clean product comes out of an environmentally friendly production line. Toxic waste is treated and pollutants such as lead and chrome have been banned from the paints used in our steel coils. In February 2001, Arcelor Piombino received the ISO 14001 Certificate and in 2002 it was awarded the Certificate of Quality as per the new legislation ISO 9001-2000.
In July 2005 Arcelor Piombino was given the prestigious EMAS Register which is an environmental certificate recognized at European level.

Our products are mainly destined for the building industry and domestic appliance manufacturers. However, due to their flexibility and to precise marketing strategies, laminates provide solutions to many new diverse market niches.

Technology therefore, together with our customers capabilities, takes shape: walls and wall coverings resistant to corrosion and totally scratch resistant, in many colours and finishings, easy to mould and colour fast; large and small electrical appliances totally scratch resistant, non abrasive and unaffected by luminous radiation and by high temperatures. And still: locks, shelving boxes, cold storage rooms, hot houses, light fittings as far as technology and creativity can develop together
