It is this conviction that allowed it to receive on March 5, 2001, the certification for its Environmental Management System, in compliance with the international standard UNI EN ISO 14001.
The commitment to constant and continual improvement of its performance is expressed in the Environmental Policy with its programs and goals. In fact, today more than ever, ArcelorMittal Piombino S.p.A. feels it must present itself to the market as a credible and reliable supplier in terms of product quality and in terms of environmental quality.

EMAS REGISTRATION
After obtaining the UNI EN ISO 14001 environmental certification, the company proceeded on its path towards continuous improvement, receiving the prestigious EMAS certification, recognized throughout Europe, in July 2005.
EMAS is a fundamental tool for recognizing the efforts of ArcelorMittal Piombino S.p.A. places on the environment; promoting and spreading the logic of a responsible and sustainable management of production activities among the various interlocutors that the company has its area, to consolidate the relationship with the community and to take an active role in society.
